My school is doing too much to deal with the H1N1 virus. First the scan the temperature of the student and asks if they have been to affected countries. Then they categorise them to:
a) Temperature of above 38 degrees Celsius.
b) been to affected countries
c) been to affected countries with temperature of above 38 degree Celsius.
They then isolate these students (17-18 years olds) to 3 different rooms and wait for their parents to bring them home.
I wonder how do people at the top come up with such procedures. If you have a temperature or been to affected countries, off you go, do not even come near to the school. That what they do even at hospitals. Still got time to escort them to isolation room!

Economy Drive is Bull Shit
I was given the task to cut 5% of our expenditure/budget. Economy Drive, my boss harks.
Yet, they just went ahead to host a performing arts event at the Esplanade just to "give our students the chance to perform at a world class venue". Better still, due to a lack of response, the tickets will be priced to not even cover the cost. I argued that no one sells tickets to lose to no avail.
This reasoning is crap. I am sure Victoria Theater is cheaper! Don't you hate it when your superiors ask you to do one thing and they does exactly the opposite? And all they need to justify is find one lame excuse because they are the boss. Talk about helicopter vision.
I am sure we are all going to Abilene.
